This session will outline how to get your company funded. There will be an interactive discussion involving the audience on options that you have and how to approach investors? - This session will demystify the venture capitalists and angel investors and discuss options that are often ignored. Find out what they look for and how should you and your exciting new idea approach them. What steps must one go through to get funding? This session will answer all of these questions and prepare you for seeking the right funding from the right source at the right time.

Naeem Zafar
Naeem co-founded and serves as the CEO of Adolene, an IoT startup. His last company, Bitzer Mobile was acquired by Oracle in 2013. Naeem also teaches entrepreneurship at the University of California Berkeley as well as the Brown University. He is a serial entrepreneur and has started or worked at six startups. He founded Startup-advisor.com to educate and mentor entrepreneurs with all aspects of starting and running a company. Naeem has published five books on entrepreneurship (www.NaeemZafar.com). Naeem served as the CEO of three companies and as a board member/advisor to 35 companies. He holds degrees from Brown University and the University of Minnesota in electrical engineering.
Fahad Aziz
Fahad Aziz is the young entrepreneur who found his voice at OPEN SV with Caremerge. He has recently closed his Series B with Health Care related VCs like GE, and many others jumping on. Fahad is a recognized global IT leader with over 14 years of experience in delivering time-to-market technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies including Toyota, Stanley Black & Decker and Hartford Insurance. In his leadership, teams have built SAAS systems, mobile/web applications and communication platforms.
He has also taken ideas and business problems from drawing boards and shaped them into successful software solutions by employing simplicity and innovation in both, design and development. He has created new models in agile methodologies to improve the communication and coordination of multiple teams working together.

OPEN CM, Dilawar Syed joined Freshdesk, a Customer Experience Management Company, as President of North America Operations. Dilawar Syed will lead Freshdesk’s sales, marketing and partnership ecosystem efforts to aggressively grow and scale the U.S. business from Silicon Valley.
Dilawar’s career spans consumer web and enterprise software. Formerly Head of Strategy and Operations at Yahoo!’s Platforms and Infrastructure division, Dilawar served in product marketing leadership roles driving the launch of customer management solutions at SAP and Siebel Systems where he built Siebel's Telco integration platform to a multi-million dollar business globally. Most recently, Dilawar led a transformation effort at Tiger Global-backed Yonja Media, an international social media company, expanding the company’s user reach three-fold through new products and acquisitions. Dilawar is active in civic and entrepreneurship efforts globally and serves on President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
